 CONNECTING STUDENTS TO CAREERS

Considering a career in the health professions?

Health care will generate 3.2 million new wage and salary jobs between 2008 and 2018, more than any other industry according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. One of the ways Western Washington Area Health Education Center (WWAHEC) is committed to expanding the health workforce is by providing programs for students from Kindergarten all the way through medical school. We introduce students to an assortment of health career possibilities and work to encourage diverse and economically disadvantaged students to pursue work in the health professions. WWAHEC can provide your school district, your class or your career center with health career resource materials curriculum materials, classroom presentations and student, teacher or counselor workshops on health career opportunities.
