The Western Washington Area Health Education Center has proven expertise and a highly skilled staff. Through our work with local health jurisdictions, communities and various coalitions, we have built a knowledgeable and skilled staff who are cognizant of the need to build internal capacity within your organization as well as the community.
For the past ten years, we have helped communities strengthen their health care systems through a community based process that has included assessment, community analysis, comprehensive planning, network and partnership building, and staff and volunteer training. Rural Health Clinics in Washington State: A Report on the Role of Rural Health Clinics in 2002 - This report covers three surveys of the Rural Health Clinics in Washington State and the RHCs' role in the health care of Medicaid, Medicare and uninsured populations as part of the rural health care stafety net. The report is a collaborative effort between WWAHEC, Eastern Washington AHEC, the Office of Community and Rural Health (OCRH), the Washington State Department of Health, and East-West Consulting.
